Josh Appel

Josh Appel is a policy analyst at the Manhattan Institute, where he focuses on defending Western values, countering radical ideologies, and strengthening the cultural and moral foundations of American life. His work explores the intersection of tradition and modernity, the moral underpinnings of free societies, and the necessity of cultural confidence in sustaining a flourishing future.

 

A native and current resident of Queens, New York, he holds a B.A. in history from Yeshiva University, where he graduated summa cum laude, and completed advanced graduate-level studies in Jewish philosophy and law at RIETS.

 

Appel has delivered lectures in America and Jerusalem on topics ranging from Western political philosophy to Jewish ethics and theology. He has written for City Journal and Law & Liberty.
