Henry Olsen is Vice President, Programs at the Manhattan Institute and Executive Director of the Institute's Center for Civic Innovation. The Center studies policy challenges facing Americaâ€™s urban core and works with leading mayors to improve the quality of life in our cities. Prior to this position, Mr. Olsen served as Executive Director and President of the Commonwealth Foundation, a public policy research institute dedicated to studying and offering free-market solutions to the public policy challenges facing Pennsylvania. Mr. Olsen is a former lawyer with the firm of Dechert Price & Rhoads in Philadelphia, and has served as a law clerk for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Danny J. Boggs. A graduate of The University of Chicago Law School, Mr. Olsen served as Comment Editor of the Chicago Law Review. A graduate of Claremont McKenna College, Mr. Olsen also served as a staff assistant in the California State Legislature.
