Theodore Dalrymple is a physician who regularly sees patients in an English prison. He is a contributing editor of City Journal, a columnist for the London Spectator, and a frequent contributor to the Daily Telegraph.

David Gelernter is a contributing editor of City Journal, author of the recently published 1939: The Lost World of the Fair, and a professor of computer science at Yale University.

Howard Husock is director of case studies at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He has written for the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and The Public Interest. His article is part of a seven-city study of local licensing laws for the Institute of Justice.

Jeff Jacoby is a columnist for the Boston Globe.

David Garrard Lowe is a cultural historian who writes and lectures on American civilization. His books include Lost Chicago and Stanford White’s New York.

Heather Mac Donald is a contributing editor of City Journal. Her articles have also appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, The New Criterion, and the New York Times.

Ned Regan is a distinguished fellow at the Jerome Levy Economics Institute at Bard College and chairman of the Municipal Assistance Corporation for the City of New York. Previously he served for 14 years as New York State comptroller.

Peter Reinharz is chief of the Family Court Division of the New York City Law Department. He has written for the Wall Street Journal, Newsday, the New York Law Journal, and the Daily News.

Peter Shaw, who died in August, was chairman of the National Association of Scholars and an English professor emeritus at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He is the author of The War Against the Intellect: Episodes in the Decline of Discourse and Recovering American Literature.

Sol Stern is a contributing editor of City Journal. He has written for Newsday and the Wall Street Journal and has served as a policy analyst for the governments of New York City and New York State.

David Watkin is a fellow of Peterhouse and a reader in the history of architecture at the University of Cambridge. His books include Morality and Architecture and A History of Western Architecture. His new book, Sir John Soane: Enlightenment Thought and the Royal Academy Lectures, will be published in April.

Kathryn Wylde is president and CEO of the New York City Housing Partnership and a member of City Journal’s publication committee.

Bruce Davidson, a member of Magnum Photos, has had two one-man shows at the Museum of Modern Art and, most recently, has published a book entitled Central Park.
