Brian C. Anderson is senior editor of City Journal and the author of Raymond Aron: The Recovery of the Political. His writings have appeared in First Things, Crisis, and The Salisbury Review.

Theodore Dalrymple is a physician who regularly sees patients in an English prison. He is a contributing editor of City Journal, a columnist for the London Spectator, and a frequent contributor to the Daily Telegraph.

Jonathan Foreman is a contributing editor of City Journal and a contributing writer at The National Law Journal. He has written for The New Yorker, Los Angeles Magazine, and the Wall Street Journal.

Howard Husock is director of case studies at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He is author of Repairing the Ladder: Toward a New Housing Policy Paradigm, and has written for the Wall Street Journal and The Public Interest.

Heather Mac Donald is a contributing editor of City Journal and John M. Olin Fellow at the Manhattan Institute. Her articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, The New Criterion, and the New York Times.

Peter Reinharz is chief of the Family Court Division of the New York City Law Department, an adjunct faculty member of the Fordham University School of Law, and a City Journal contributing editor. He is the author of Killer Kids, Bad Law: Tales of the Juvenile Justice System.

Peter D. Salins, a former editor of City Journal, is provost and vice chancellor of the State University of New York. He is author of Assimilation, American Style; Scarcity by Design; and The Ecology of Housing Destruction.

Sol Stern, a contributing editor of City Journal, has written for Commentary and the Wall Street Journal and has served as a policy analyst for the governments of New York City and New York State.

William J. Stern is a contributing editor of City Journal. He chaired Mario Cuomo's 1982 gubernatorial campaign and from 1983 to 1985 headed the New York State Urban Development Corporation.

Leo Trachtenberg wrote and directed documentary films for business and government. Since 1982 he has written for the publications department of the New York Yankees, and he has authored a history of the 1927 Yankees, The Wonder Team.
