Theodore Dalrymple is a physician who regularly sees patients in an English prison. He is a contributing editor of City Journal, a columnist for the London Spectator, and a frequent contributor to the London Daily Telegraph.

John J. Dilulio Jr. is director of the Partnership for Research on Religion and At-Risk Youth, an adjunct fellow of the Manhattan Institute, and a professor at Princeton University.

Beth Z. Palubinsky is an attorney and deputy director of field operations at Public/ Private Ventures, where she is conducting an assessment of the Youth Aid Panel program.

Dennis Saffran is the New York director of the Center for the Community Interest.

E. Fuller Torrey, M.D., is a clinical and research psychiatrist in Washington, D.C. He is the author of 16 books, including the recently published Out of the Shadows: Confronting America’s Mental Illness Crisis.

Julia Vitullo-Martin is a political scientist who co-authored the first federally funded studies of Catholic schools in the mid-1970s. She is the editor of Breaking Away: The Future of Cities.

Bruce Davidson, a member of Magnum Photos, has had two one-man shows at the Museum of Modern Art. His books include East 100th Street, Bruce Davidson Photographs, Subway, and—most recently—Central Park.
