My Bizarre Libyan Holiday

Selected Responses:

Sent by Stan Bennett on 11-01-2006:

As a petroleum engineer, I lived in Libya from 1965 to 1972. My family and I were there when Gadaffi took over—he is a strange duck. My youngest was born in Tripoli. Pre-the coup it was a good place to live and had a lot of promise; Gadaffi ruined all of that. The Libyan people were interesting but very passive. From your article the more things change the more they stay the same.
