Brian C. Anderson is senior editor of City Journal and the author of Raymond Aron: The Recovery of the Political. His writings have appeared in First Things and The Public Interest.

Thomas W. Carroll is president of CHANGE-NY. Previously, he served as Governor Pataki's deputy director of regulatory reform, and as a fiscal and economic researcher with Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno and the New York State Division of the Budget.

Theodore Dalrymple is a physician who regularly sees patients in an English prison. He is a contributing editor of City Journal, a columnist for the London Spectator, and a frequent contributor to the Daily Telegraph.

Howard Husock is director of case studies at Harvard's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a City Journal contributing editor. An Emmy Award-winning journalist, he is the author of Repairing the Ladder: Towards a New Housing Policy Paradigm. He has also written for the Wall Street Journal and The Public Interest.

Kay S. Hymowitz, a contributing editor of City Journal, is the author of Ready or Not: Why Treating Children as Small Adults Endangers Their Future and Ours. She has written for the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.

Steven Kanfer, a contributing editor of City Journal and a former editor of Time, is the author of several novels and social histories. His new books are a biography of Groucho Marx and The Essential Groucho, to be published in May.

Heather Mac Donald is a contributing editor of City Journal and John M. Olin Fellow at the Manhattan Institute. Her articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, The New Republic, and the New York Times.

Peter Reinharz is chief of the Family Court division of the New York City Law Department, an adjunct professor at Fordham Law School, and a City Journal contributing editor. He is the author of Killer Kids, Bad Law: Tales of the Juvenile Justice System.

Roger Scruton is a writer and philosopher living in England. He is a contributing editor of City Journal and the editor of The Salisbury Review. His many books include An Intelligent Person's Guide to Modern Culture.
