Lempicka is overrated, but anyone who ate at a restaurant, glanced at the covers of numerous novels or strolled into a condo for sale in any major North American city between 1990 and 2004 saw dozens of Lempickas without even trying. Who you callin' "we," Kemosabe? :-) Andrea Ostrov Letania December 10, 2012 at 4:41 PM Typhoon or Buffoon? George Beinhorn December 10, 2012 at 4:05 PM Paglia is (often) fun to read, difficult to listen to in person. I wish she had a compass. Art and philosophy do make good partners - as demonstrated by J. Donald Walters in his "Out of the Labyrinth" and "Art as a Hidden Message." Great article - haven't heard or read Paglia in years. Glad she's still stirring up the culture and shining a mirror to some of the preconceptions and prejudices of our culture.
