Any mention of Sam Gilbert in this biography's paean to middle-American values, and if not, why not?
wooden wasn't chosen as the subject of a biography because of his political views. He was biography material because of his accomplishments as a basketball coach. I can't figure out what his view of the Vietnam War have to do with this.
In addition,Wooden was raised in small town Indiana and born in 1911. He made his living as a coach, that is, an authority figure. What would Davis expect his opinion to be on Vietnam?
Thanks for the review. I'll skip this one
